Concert Band to Festival this Saturday

Concert Band is attending festival this Saturday, May 4th at Wangenheim MS.  Call time to meet at Wangenheim is 1:40pm.  Performance time is 3:00pm.  The group will be finished by 4:00pm.

Everyone needs to be in formal concert black attire.  Please double check you have everything ready for Saturday!

Parent Meeting Thursday, 4/25/13

There is a Parent Meeting at 7:00pm Thursday to find out all of the latest dates, such as the Spring Concert, Festival, 4th of July and other summer events.  Hope you can make it!

Congratulations Color Guard!

Color Guard Championships are now complete and we would like to congratulate both the JV and Varsity teams on their strong performances.  Both groups have had a terrific season and this weekend they showed all of their hard work from this semester.  JV placed 3rd in their division and Varsity placed 4th.  Congratulations on representing MMHS in an outstanding way!

Block Schedule and Testing

Block schedule along with testing, begins Wednesday.  For a full schedule of the calendar, please visit the Mira Mesa HS website. This week the schedule for block is:

• Wednesday - 1-3-5, Testing in History
• Thursday - 2-4-6, Testing in History
• Friday - 1-3-5, Testing in English

Hope everyone gets plenty of rest, eats well, and attends school each day over the next three weeks to successfully complete the state-wide testing.

Congratulations Wind Ensemble!

A big congratulations to the Wind Ensemble for their Unanimous Superior at the SCSBOA festival on Saturday!  Great performance!

Wind Ensemble to Festival Saturday, 4/13/13

The Wind Ensemble will go to festival Saturday at University City HS.  Everyone will meet at UCHS by 1:30pm and they perform at 2:30pm.  Concert Band is re-scheduled for Saturday, May 4th.  Time is still to be determined, but will be later in the day.

Eat at Panda Express today, 4/11/13

Today is the Panda Express restaurant fundraiser from 12-10pm.  Panda Express is located off of Mira Mesa Blvd in the Kohl's shopping center.  Panda Express Flyer

Schedule for the Week of April 8-13, 2013

Welcome back!  I hope everyone had a good Spring Break.  Here's the schedule for this week:

• Monday - Symphony Orchestra Rehearsal, 4:30-6:30pm
• Tuesday - Color Guard Rehearsal after school
• Wednesday - Mrs. C on Jury Duty. NO rehearsals.
• Thursday - Concert Band rehearsal 2:45-4:15pm, Wind Ensemble rehearsal 4:45-6:15pm. Panda Express restaurant fundraiser from 12:00-10:00pm.
• Friday - Possible rehearsal :-) 
• Saturday - Festival at University City HS. Concert Band performs at 2:45pm. Wind Ensemble performs at 4:45pm.  Call times to meet at UCHS are 1:30pm for Concert Band and 3:30pm for Wind Ensemble.  Both groups need to wear formal concert attire.
